Looking at a new Nitro Z19 Pro with the galvashield trailer. I fish in south Louisiana and most of the waters are brackish. Will the trailer be okay to use in brackish water without causing premature rusting? Nitro doesn't offer an aluminum trailer option on the website. Has anybody used a galvashield trailer in brackish water?

The coating will help but over time you can expect rust to get underneath it. I know people in my area who have ordered new boats with aluminum trailers as a dealer option. Talk to your local dealer and see what they can offer.

I primarily fish brackish water with mine. Been that way for years. Usually you can figure on about 10 years or so before you need to replace the trailer.
