    Prescription sunglasses - new lenses

Need new shades. My prescription changed.

Don't want to pay the eye doctor shop no more, they are high as a giraffes a$$.

I have two old pair with good frames and would like to take them or send them off somewhere to have my new prescription installed.

    Any suggestions.

One pair is Wiley X, the other is Costa.

    Thanks

Not much help on where to send your existing frames. But I bought my prescription sunglasses from this company, very pleased.

It is expensive but I love mine. I have Costa’s. For me it was worth it. Now I can read my electronics much easier and tie a new lure on without switching glasses.

Not sure about wiley x. Costa is around $700 pretty expensive. I just had mine replaced under warranty but they won’t change the prescription under warranty. They’re all overpriced

I had one lens fall out of a big name brand after a few months (prescription). One bounce off the boat deck, and into the water it went. I thought I could get one lens replaced. No. You have to buy a whole new pair.

    At $375, again, I’m out.

A different, non prescription big name pair only a few weeks old, had a small crack in the frame. Sent it in for warranty replacement, but they too charged full retail. I followed their online return process too. So I paid shipping both ways and full retail.

Now, I just get cheap glasses and the $20 ones last for years. (I use Cocoons over my regular glasses when needed.)

    Buying glasses sucks!

No, there frames are reasonable and many options available. I have 2 pairs coming today, (just notified) Rx and more competitive than the optical shop where I get checked out. I've used their bifocal readers for several years and decided after my last eye exam to get the full Rx.

SVS vision. I have been waiting to get new glasses thru COVID which has turned getting glasses into a 3 month carnival. So...svs vision you buy a pair and get the 2nd pair 50% off. so I bought my new glasses frames elsewhere and took them in (much cheaper) and my 2nd pair (already owned) are my oakley sunglasses. After insurance I got both pairs RX,progressives, anti reflect, poly, and sunglasses (polarized and mirror tint) both $512 out of pocket.

Laser surgery an option? Had it done and it's the best thing I have ever done for myself.
