    Thank you all the same!

I think 2.110 is a solid latest version.

    Just checked my machines.

    Both2.110

My thinking is that the 2.110 was the stock version since I have not done any updates.

I think your only source just may be Humminbird since the Gen2.5 "special" units had 2.110 factory installed and did not have the 2.110 version as an update so nobody would have had a chance to download that version to update the units.

I would also love to have a backup of version 2.110. My Gen 2.5s are still running the original 2.110, but given the history of HB's updates causing new issues, I'd feel better doing an update someday if I knew I could go back. The latest update requiring a new basemap makes me wonder if that will even be possible in the future.

Mine had 2.110 when bought, and almost no flaws, but HB updated it to 2.180 when I sent the unit in for repair, which is less solid in my mind (such as sonar won’t turn on until rebooting it with sonar option on, not sure if they have addressed it in 2.110).

I have the same concern! Without a copy of basemap 1.051 backup, we won’t be able to go back (unless we don’t want the basemap anymore).
