x19 having trouble on set up

i have a new x19 with a 175 sho when i first run the boat it was running 5800 rpms and 58 mph with 2 people 450 lbs but it would not run at slower speeds with trim all way down without porpoising so dealer lowered motor said it was too high went back to water just me in boat 180 lbs ran slow speeds ok no porpoising but ran 5400 rpms at 56 any more trim it will porpoise, i added a hole shot plate and i raised up today about 3/8 inch went back to water, back porpoising at low speeds with 2 people 450 lbs water had a lot of traffic but got to run wot one time 5300 55 i have a 22 pitch yamaha sho prop. i dont what to try next to get rpm up without porpoising i checked prop to pad today after raising 41/2 inches

Waiting on my X18 with 150(on order) but my current boat is an X17 with 115, just me no porpoise at any speed but add my fishing buddy and I have some issues at mid range rpm's finding the sweet spot to cruise without some porpoise. WOT is fine but the boat handles much different with 2 instead of 1. Per the performance bulletin on the Xpress site you were not to far off speed and rpm's at 5800.

I would suggest trying a 4 blade prop like a Trophy in 22 pitch and raise the motor back up to around 3 and 3/4.

I dont know if the changes they made after the 2015 year effect anything. But I am running a turbo fxp 23p prop. I have a 6" plate set at 3.5 ptp. I dont have any issues with porpoising.

These boats like the four blade props and the trophy will work. I like the 10” set back 3.5”-4” PTP, trim slow letting the boat adjust as you trim.

Not really. I just trim down. I do have to go just a little faster than my old boat, but I had a "whale tail" on the motor so I could go real slow.

Power tech tro4. Or merc trophy. 23 pitch and blow out ring. Then go fishing.

Mine starts to chine walk at around 61-62mph. 63 is as fast I have gone. I think that is about all i will get out of the 175.
