Champion 210 Elite Trailer: Powder Coat

Interested in having boat trailer sandblasted and painted with powder coat or some equivalent. Live near Raleigh, NC. Would need to have boat removed while being prepared and painted. Trailer appears in good shape, want to keep it that way. Any recommendations? Willing to travel 200 miles.

Powder coating a boat trailer can be done at a facility with a large enough pretreatment/wash station and batch oven capable of the length/width but those type shops are going to be very scarce. Tight corners and recess areas will not receive the same amount of powder application due to the faraday cage effect that doesn't allow the powder to adhere. Less a complete dip operation like the vehicle OEMs use on frames, your better off liquid coating it.

I did my 2001 in 2004 and it was the best thing I ever did !! I worked with a boat repair shop that took the boat, fenders, and wheels and hubs off.
Then they took it to the Coating shop and he sand blasted it and then shot it with black Powder Coating ! All together a little over $1000, but was well worth it !! Super easy to clean and always looked nice. I have Armor Coating on my 2015, not as happy with the look, but I know sometime in the future it'll get stripped and powder coated !!

Still rot from inside out. That would be my only concern
