    Back on two wheels

    Up until seven years ago my wife and I used to ride a lot, +/- 12,000 miles a year. Gave it up due to having a grandson to raise and my wife's leg being amputated. Over the years we often talked about how much we missed it (I feel she missed it more than I). Had the same conversation several nights ago. To make a long story short, grandson soon turns 18 and my wife says that she thinks she can wear her prosthetic on the bike since it won't be bearing weight. We went the next day to "look" at bikes. Two hours later we bought a Harley Heritage Softail Classic. Took my wife for a ride the next morning and she was so happy she damn near cried.

    Sounds great! You and her will have a great time!! My girlfriend has no interest at all, which kinda stinks for me. Last fall when we drove up north for a weekend we stopped at a kawasaki dealer. She saw a can am ryker... She wanted one. That was the same weekend I spotted the boat. it was either the ryker or the boat. Boat won out. Saving money for ryker at this time.

    Thanks for the well wishes. I'm getting in some miles to refresh my skills. Working on taking curves smoothly. Once my highway bars get in I'm hitting a parking lot to practice low speed maneuvers (U turns etc...).

    New or used? The heritage softail is a classic and love the color, I'm torn between upgrading my 2014 Street Bob for either the same model you have or the Sport Glide.

    Used, 2007 w/21,000 miles. Previous owner obviously took very good care of it.
