    1994 Skeeter sx200 w/ Johnson Venom 200

I am having problems getting on plane and just don't think I am getting the top speed I should be.
I am running a Raker 24 worked by Mark Croxton and things have gotten better but not where I believe they should be.

It is taking almost 15 seconds to get on plane and when it finally breaks over it wants to blow out.
It also doesn't seem like it is getting enough bow lift.

Currently the motor is at about 5400 rpms (tach is bouncing) and the prop to pad is at 3.5 inches.
When the motor reaches about 3000 it just sits there and takes a long time to come down on plane. This takes longer with 2 people in the boat than when I am by myself.

I realize there are a number of things going on here so I was wondering if there is a better prop I could be using. I have added 2 degree wedges to get the bow up more and it doesn't seem like it made any difference, I am thinking about getting the 5 degree and trying them.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

I'm wondering if the motor is at 100%... I would think top end rpms with that prop would be much higher if the motor was strong.

Compression check the other day showed 115-120 on all cylinders. I just rebuilt the carbs as well, although I did not replace the bowls. Could the carb bowls cause me some problems??

Maybe... Also check for full pull on the throttle linkage. Has it been sinc & linked? Timing advanced to specs? Power Packs good?
