What kind of speed are you getting with your 294XL?
    Prop to Pad set-up? inches.
    Thanks

I have an 06 294 pro xl and a 200 Yamaha vmax 3.1L with a 26 tempest plus at 2.5ish prop to pad. 4 batteries all my tackle and a full tank I see low to mid 60s. I have read of some guys getting in the low 70s but I don't see how.

    Blueprinted 26 TXP
4 group 31 batteries, full tank, 300lb of man and good for low 70’s every day of the week.

25-26 fury 4 is a the best all around for hole shot, load carrying, midrange, handling etc...still good for 71 on top end

    I have an "06" 294/200 HPDI w/ a 27p Tempest Plus 3-blade (stock prop) w/ a 6" manual jackplate. Pad to shaft around 3.5", running 5600 rpm.
Got it to 70 mph (gps) (when I learned how to drive it) with two people, fishing gear, three batteries, and around a full tank of gas.
If I ever get a hydraulic jackplate I will work on getting a few more mph. I have Fury 26p 3-blade as a backup that I haven't tried yet.

I have an 09' 294 evo with an 09 etec h.o. with a 26 fury 3 on a 6" manual jackplate and run 5900 rpm's and see in the low 70's with a tournament load. The previous owner had it dialed in when I bought it so i never messed with ptp measurement so im not sure what it even is. When we took it out to test run it, he took all his tackle out and we hit 78 in it with about a half tank of fuel. It takes awhile to learn how to drive it up to that speed tho. Once you get it dialed in, it is an absolute rocket. Ive ran down many, many of 20 footers with a 250 with that combo.

My old 06 294 would hit 77 with a light load and a 26 Fury.
