    OIL TANK MOVED

    I had to remove oil lines from cap of oil tank ( external tank ) to move it into different compartment . Do i need to do anything special before restarting motor. I have a 1998 200 efi any help would be appreciated thank you

    I only have memories from my old Evinrude. Pump the lines if so available with the squeeze bulb. Mix the gas in the tank 50:1. Clean the outside of the oil tank and with Magic Marker mark the oil level in at least two places on the outside. After running the motor in normal mode, like go fishing, check the oil level. If it does not drop, investigate.

    Didn't do anything special to mine.Pulled the hoses off and reconnected.Business as usual.Same motor as yours.
