Gouge Repair 2001 Champion 203 DC
Hello Everyone,
I have a 2001 Champion 203. The boat is primarily white l with red/burgundy accent.
I have two gouges on the front side basically above the nose ring directly below the navigation
lights. One kind of looks like a cut, the other is a 1/16th of an inch deep groove. I would like to
repair them, however I see a lot of comments about gel coat repair but not much on a repair of this type.
They are not cracks but more of a chiseled groove. Almost as though the boat was trailered too quickly and
the nose rollers compressed and dug a gouge either side of the V of the hull. I have reviewed lots of
posts here but have not heard of anything like this type of repair. If anyone has some guidance on
the best way to repair it, I would sure appreciate it. If you direct me to another post that would be fine.
I may not be using the correct terminology, so feel free to correct me so I can get on the same page
as the rest of you. I appreciate your help.

PS, if anyone can tell me why the picture is sideways, I would appreciate it.

Marine Tex will keep you going just fine until you want to have it repaired proper.

Additional Pictures. I don't know how they got there. I just recently purchased the boat. I assume they were there and I simply did not notice. Not a big issue, I just want to take care of it.

Nothing life threatening there but it will take a pro to fix it proper.
