    Targa 19 motor size?

    Hi, Friends.

    I'm starting to think about upgrading my 2012 Pro Guide 16SC to a 2020 Targa 19 combo. It comes standard with a 150hp, but I can go up to a 225 Mercury w/ DTS. Any thoughts on going that big?

    I have a Targa V20 with the 150 hp, and although it "works" and gets the boat on plane easily enough, I wish I had gone with a bigger powerplant. Get the biggest motor you can afford, with the 200 hp being a really good target. I can't say that the 150 hp doesn't do what its supposed to, yet I find myself saying often, I wish I had a bigger motor....
