70 HP Johnson 2 stroke not charging the battery.

    Model: J70tleda

    Serial g 04096225

So. Charging issue. Battery goes dead after a few runs around the lake this 4th of july.

Recharged over night and read 12.50V and when started on the muffs drops to 12.22v. Does not increase with rpms.

I have been reading on here a bit and want to make sure I'm checking the right things as stators/electronics are always a bit more confusing.

The yellow wires at the terminal block don't connect to ground with an ohm meter.
Brown to brown/yellow strip reads 830 ohms this afternoon in the sun and 90 degrees.

It sounds like my stator has gone bad correct?

Well, the yellow wires read 0.5 ohms and that's the charging side. So I think the r/r is now the likely culprit
