Lake Delton

I have the kids at the Dells and had dinner on Lake Delton tonight. Nice lake. How's the fishing? Curious if it's worth bringing the boat to take some time away from the water slides next time.

Used to be ok then mother nature flushed it and all the fish wound up in the WI river.....

Wisconsin river is pretty good fishing and very scenic below the dam.

Thank you. Taking a boat ride on the river tonight, so I'll get to see it. What ramp would you suggest for launching and parking?

that was in 2008...I have heard mixed reviews of the lake since...I would launch at rivers edge and fish your way up to the dells dam. very good section of river there and the baitshop at rivers edge will provide you with some information and point you in the right direction.

+1 on Rivers Edge, nice clean launch and parking, if you go down river, don't go past the sign that says "no rental boats past this point" or something to that effect, there's a rock bar there and the water is real skinny, same thing up near the dam, no sign but there's a rock bar near the point of the rivers bend that can cause trouble as well, anything between the two areas is pretty good.
