My Yamaha repair manual recommends not to use any kind of Gasket sealer. I have a troublesome head gasket that keeps leaking after a year or so. Anyone tried using a sealer ? Any better results ?

I don't always find schooling fish but when I do I backlash on the first cast
When the gasket was replaced was the following done?
1. Carefully clean the ex thread passages cleaned
2. Was torque sequence and proper torque yields
3. Was both the head and block checked with a straight edge to ensure they are not warped
4. New head bolts used as old one stretch and don't always get proper torque yields
