The press found other things to make you worry about.

They came at a bad time. The media had too many other choices to pick from to spread fear and discontent.

I read an article the other day about them. For some reason I think people were thinking it was going to a problem right away. They could cause a problem in the future if a lot of them come over or they reproduce. Main concern was the honey bee population would be affected.

Prematurely ejaculated. It was supposed to go Corona, riots, chaz, then murder hornets. Since it went from chaz to chop it just screwed the hornets time of arrival.
So they will throw corona increase back in play and put the hornets on the back burner till late Sept or early Oct.

Thus far Asian giant hornets have been found in British Columbia and Washington state in Whatcom County. USDA-APHIS and state departments of agriculture are trapping to identify any breeding populations and hopefully eradicate them. So for residents in 49 of 50 states the hornets are nothing but a story but they do have the potential to inflict tremendous damage to pollinators if they are able to become established and spread.

I watched a video of honey bees (I think) lure one in and let it mark nest so others could find it. Then they destroyed it. Maybe the pollinators aren’t watching the msm?
