    Mercury Props.....Tempest Plus an Fury....questions

So before I buy (and or repair) yet another 2ply soft Raker HO I am thinking of trying a few props. I ordered a merc hub kit for the G2 it will be here Tuesday and I have the following to try.....anyone ever run these props on a G2 and can give me some feedback. I always ran a Tempest Plus on my HPDI.

    Current setup 2008 Stratos 201xl 2019 G2 250 HO 10ft poles tournament loaded boat.....

    Current prop Raker HO 26P 5900/6000 @ 73/74 ( I have a 28P HO that I run in the cold weather turns 5700@76.5)

I am going to put the 27p Tempest i had on the boat with the Yamaha first....then try a 26p Fury....thoughts???

The metal in those props is night and day stronger then these rakers....

    Any feedback appreciated.

Not a G2 but with an 03 250 on Sprint I've fallen in love with the Bravo 1 props....spool up great for hole shot and good bow lift. This is the Gen 1 prop without the pvs holes. The newer ones have dual pvs holes. I run a 26 in summer with the flare cut off the barrel to 6k if not watching....turn the 28 to 5600 in winter.....thinking of having Mark to work the 28 to a 27. This engine is not an HO....

I only run mercury props on my g2. I do have one of the new rakers but it stays on the shelf. Be sure to get the metal hub insert if you run long distances. Youll find a mercury prop youll love- rothwell marine has a trade program so youre not stuck with a bunch of props you dont like til you find the right one.

The XS has the 8 vent holes, the FS has 4 holes.

Defiantly better with the 27 Tempest (80 degree air and 83 degree water temp)....75 down river 73.9 up river @ 5700/5800...the motor likes to be up on the plate higher with this prop then the raker. Its rock solid at 73/74 and the holeshot is better then the raker. I have 26p fury to try tomorrow as well. It just handeld better all the way around over the Raker 26 HO.
