    HDS CARBON 12 SHUTTING OFF BY ITSELF

    ANY THOUGHTS ON WHY IT DOES IT, JUST ON ITS OWN AFTER 2 HRS OF FISHING

    Put the VOLTAGE on your sonar screen with EDIT OVERLAY. Page 32 in the book and the book is in your machine too.

    There are also videos on this procedure.

    Report back, sounds like a power issue from the back at the battery to the unit.

    Check your ground and positive wires at battery and where power cord is conected sours like loose wire or nuts on battery loose

    I had the same thing happen to me recently. My HDS live 9 would just turn off after 20 or 30 minutes. Then it would start turning off every 10 minutes and then sooner and sooner. Watched voltage and would always show 12.2 or 12.3 volts. Had my Lowrance rep look at it and he felt it was an overheating issue. Sent back to lowrance.
