    Return to Single Digit Handicap

After a 4 week layoff due to fun with grandkids, I have finally made some consistent effort to play some rounds of golf.
Handicap index has dropped from 9.7 to 7.5 and yesterday course handicap was a 9.
That is the first time in three years to return to a single digit since I joined this club with a 5 handicap.
Returning to a single digit was a goal of mine I thought I could achieve since retiring last September.
It feels good to get it there-now just need to play enough to keep it there or lower.
    Match play championship next weekend.
    Can’t wait!

Not sure how golf could be fun hitting the ball so few times. :)

Jus finished 18. Not sure you could describe it as “fun”. Teed off about 12 after practicing for an hour while the wife took a lesson and then practiced.
Shot 38 on the front. Not bad.
Shot 43 on the back as the heat and sweating and wiping and changing hats and sweating and wiping and drinking water and not drinking beer all seemed to have a negative impact on my golf score!
She shot a 93 which is an improvement since she was in the Hundreds and shot a 95 yesterday.
She is hitting the ball much better and is a happy camper-at least for now.

Keeping my wife happy is my main job now. If I can make her laugh during the round I know we are having fun.
Glad you are out keeping yours happy as well.
Keep it in the shade this week!

Tallied my rounds and found I have played 9 rounds in 11 days.
    Wow! That is retirement!
Added an extra 9 on one day.
Played 0 today-got a massage that was much needed.
    Finally feeling retired!
