    Bravo Prop Help

    I have a 2015 phoenix 920 with a Mercury 250 -2 stroke. I run a 12 inch jack plate and two 12 foot talons. I run a 24 Fury & 25 Tempest at 3 1/4 below pad at 73.2 MPH. Would like to run a 4 blade bravo. Any recommendation?

    Thanks

I don’t agree guys, a 26 will drop the rpms about 200rpms by going to a 4 blade and increasing pitch. i would recommend a 25 Bravo xs. You would also get more lift and speed if you ever decrease you set back to 8”. 12” set back on the phoenix decreases bow lift and doesn’t allow you to get on the back of the pad.

Get the 26", Bravo's are light on pitch and run higher prop to pad.

Ill admit I don’t complete understand the dynamics, but my buddy took an 8” Manual jackplate off his phoenix and went to a 12” Atlas and lost about 2mph. When we talked with a few of the “experts” on here they told him it was too much set back and you will lose lift on the bow because the motor is too far back. When he sold the 12” and went with an 8” on his Phoenix he gained it back just short of 3mph. Plus he felt the boat control was better.

My 201pro xl was similar to the setup you have, I had an 6” Atlas, I had a 2” Panther spacer, and went with a 27P Bravo 1 XS, and it ran 75mph all day.
