    Fender issue 2006 single axle

I just noticed that my tire rubbed through
the fiberglass inner portion of the fender
Questions would be can you adjust the fender off
The wheel. The has to be a bigger issue for this to happen
What should i be looking for? Any assistamce would be appreciated

If it has them check for a broken spring or shackle

A 2006 trailer should have Tie Down torsion axle which means that the rubber that the trailing arm pivots in has deteriorated which means a new axle.

Pretty common on that year range. Should be one of the early torsion axles and they fatigue and settle into the fender. Raising the fender is going to make it too close to the hull... likely going to be looking for an axle

Is there any way to diagnose
    that as the issue?

Looking from behind the trailer the angle of the wheels should be the same side to side both along the length of the trailer and vertically. You will probably see that the defective side is tilted in at the top of the wheel.

    This^^^^. The axle is toast.

Just went through this for a second time on my 06 trailer, same problem your having, tire rub in fender. Found the bracket on axle broken and torsion on both sides worn. Im close to easternmarine in Delaware. they had the axle in stock for around $350. I couldnt fit my fingers between tire ans fender on the inside. new axle and i have about 5 inches taller now. also check your brackets on the trailer itself.

By the way, if your handy/Mechanical you can change the axle yourself. me and a buddy did it in about 21/2 hours

Really appreciate all the information. Extremely helpful
I can break things better than fixing them i doubt i can do the axle. Will i have difficulty getting it to a shop? Also should u remove the fender to get it there to limit damage

Thats a tough call. If its rubbing all the time, the fender could splinter and cause a tire to shred.
