Tried the one on the shifter and at the bow. Neither one worked either.

I would suggest you connect a garden hose to the rear port on the engine to supply it with water, will the engine start?

Unfortunately I don't have a garden hose at my apartment. Ran perfect yesterday, I even trimmed it down when I got back to fit it in my garage and now it won't go up or down.

was yesterday your first time out with this rig or have you had it a while?
When you turn the key on do you hear the fuel pump run? You may need to get your ear against the engine cover.

Had it just about a month and a half, bought it brand new a little over a week before the evinrude news. Probably just finished break in. Added a full gallon of evinrude xd100 yesterday before I went out.

The pan switch should trim the motor even if the control head is screwed, which G2, I'm asking because it tells me which engine cover you have.

Well that sucks, the 115 G2 cover has no access panels like the larger engines, to get inside you have to take the whole side frame off.

Whats the model number, its on the tag on the side of the swivel bracket.

If the motor is trimmed down so it would fit into your garage there is a manual release on the side of the stern bracket, its in the oblong hole port side, there is a slotted screw.
Place something on the ground to protect the gear case from hitting the ground because it will fall when you loosen the screw, back the screw out counter clock wise several turns, I would say four or five turns, you can then lift (its kind of heavy) the engine and put in on the travel bracket or back on the transom saver, be sure to re tighten the manual release.

    No problem.

There are several dealers in that area, one of my friends is at Warner's dock but that's a couple hours away from you.

Nah, no disrespect to Chad but most people don't think about the steps that we take for granted when trouble shooting.

I had a guy once with an engine that would not turn over with the key so he bought a starter ......... when I asked what voltage the battery had he asked, "what difference would that make?"

you are either mechanically minded or you are not!!! mechanical stuff comes easily to me and things just make sense but lots of other people male and female are lost on how and why something does what it does!!

So now this morning the motor keeps lifting. I gently tapped the switch on the motor and it started lifting and wouldn't stop until it got all the way up, then it would go down when I pushed the button then when I let go if the button it went right back up. The lift button on the motor still doesn't click when pushed, seems like it's stuck in.
