2001 TR-186 with Johnson 150 Question

Any of you Triton guys know if Johnson was a motor option on the 2001-2005 TR186 models. My 03 has a Merc XR6 on it but a buddy is looking at a clean 01 but it has a Johnson on it. Wondering if that was an option or if you think it was a 2nd motor.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes it was an option. Many sold with Johnson, Evinrude, Yamaha, and of course Mercury. Even a few Honda’s out there too.

what johnson ??? if its ficht engine i would run from it,faststrikes and entruders was good engines

it is not the Ficht have heard nothing but bad things about that model
