🚤 Help With Heading Sensor Location

How critical is the location of the Bluetooth heading sensor?
I was considering mounting it by console instead of the bow.
I only have a Limited and very Crowded bow spot.
I am installing a new Ulterra with i-pilot link GPS and mega SI and a new helix 9 gen 3 on my bow.
I will directly hook Ethernet from Ulterra to the Helix and will not Ethernet the console mounted 798ci hdsi.

    thanks

The heading sensor for the ulterra doesn't contain a GPS antenna, so the only consideration in location is avoiding any magnetic interference. Use a compass to test the area before installing.

    thanks bob
I hadn't gotten serious about mounting it yet.
My instructions are still probably in the pile of instructions I haven't accessed yet.
I need to apply kiss and read all my instructions.
I just got trolling motor installed waiting on cables to hook it up to the helix so I can
configure the helix mounting and cable runs.
