    Mega 360 Wiring Question

Hello Guys, I was hoping to get some info on connecting/wiring my Mega 360. I am installing an Ultrex Mega 360. I have two bow Helix units, both G3, one is an MDI +, the other is an MSI +. I am exclusively using the MSI for the Mega 360. I am taking off an Ultrex 360 unit, which I had connected to my MSI+ unit. My old 360 unit was connected via Ethernet through my 5 port switch and my power went back to my boat switch and then to my battery. Because of the short 1' wires on the Mega 360 it makes it easier to connect the Mega 360 to the MSI+, direct, no Ethernet, but the power configuration is backwards, so my current power setup does not work. Am I going to have to install a 10 gauge wire all the way to the boat switch and a 1 amp fuse holder in-line close to the battery. My other thought was to somehow use my existing power wiring in the front of my boat and just install a 1 amp fuse holder. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I think I would still connect the Ethernet cable to the back of the MSI+ unit and use the same power cable for the MSI+, but I believe the Mega 360 needs a separate power source.

    Good Fishin!!!

After taking off the front plate and Helix units, I have a 10 Gauge wire going to my battery switch. Attached to that wire is both power cords for the Helix units, with no fuses and also the power going to the old 360 with no fuse. If I tap into the old 360 power wires, should I add a 1 amp fuse for the Mega 360 and a 4 amp fuse for each of the Helix units. I have not had any issues thus far, but maybe I am on borrowed time. I would like to do it the right way. Thank you for any help you can provide.

The 360 and MEGA 360 have the exact same power connection. I am using the two 360 power cords that I used with the 360. I do not use the included MEGA 360 10' power cord.
Ethernet is not involved with the MEGA 360, it is a transducer connection.

The 360 and each Helix need there own separate proper size fuse on their power cords. The best connection is a terminal block or fuse block with the 10 gauge attached and the power cords attached to that with fuses.

I do have one more question, if I do not have the Ethernet connected to the Helix, how will I get my waypoints on the screen?

That has nothing to do with the MEGA 360. You can have your displays connected to each other via Ethernet.

You can SHARE the MEGA 360 to the other unit via Ethernet.
