I like the Coleman Extreme also, may not be the best but does a fine job for the money.

A friend and I both have the Yeti Roadie 24 hard cooler and we both agreed that it doesn't hold a 8lb bag of ice that long (1 day) and our coolers are not in the sun. He bought the next size bigger Yeti Tundra Haul hard cooler and that seems to hold ice much longer but the price is outrageous.

Orca is also a good one and made in Tennessee. At the end of a 5 day fishing trip with friends some want my ice for the ride home. The lifetime cooler would be a good cheaper option just look it over for a good seal at purchase.

Forgot to mention at Bed Bath and Beyond if you sign up for emails you can get a 20 percent off coupon for a Orca cooler from them. That’s where I got mine but I still get emails from them 2 years later but that is a good savings.

If you want the original roto molded cooler that Yeti copied, get an Engel. They are not cheap, but do cost less than the Yeti. I've had one now for close to 5 years and it's been great. Carried ice to a night tournament a few weeks back and after dumping the ice, went back to the cooler in the vehicle to put the empty ice bags back into the cooler. Dang near couldn't get it open because of such strong vacuum forming after it cooled the warmer air that had gotten into the cooler while removing the ice. Engel is often overlooked but they make excellent products!

Not sure what size you need but I really like the Igloo BMX 52 quart cooler. Held ice for almost 2 and a half days during hot weather. That was all I wanted from this cooler and it’s a quarter of what the yeti weighs (and it’s only about $99-130.

Igloo coolers are really hit and miss but this one is a winner. Also comes with several limited edition fishing designs that you can get from west marine. Those cost a little more.

These are made right down the street from me. Haven't tried them, but when I need a new cooler, I'll probably try them out.

For the price, I like my RTIC stuff better than the Yeti and K2 stuff I have.

Yup, if I need ice for more than five days, I'm packing an "Igloo Iceless 40 Qt Thermoelectric Cooler".

I’ve got an rtic 45 and 65. Very happy with both but wouldn’t go bigger because of the weight loaded. I went through a bunch of regular igloos and Coleman’s and just ended up annoyed by all the melted ice. They’re expensive but built like tanks
