    2005 TR21X top speed

I bought this boat about six months ago. I'm still learning how to drive it as I've never owned a boat that walked.

Couple months ago I took the old manager of our local boat shop CC marine out. He was friends with the old owner and said the boat would do 84mph when they fished together. Some of you may know this guy from the shop in citrus heights. He's not a BSer and is a solid guy.

Anyway I get it up to 70 and she starts to walk and I back off a bit. Will this hull really hit speeds in the 80s?

So the new 4 stroke V8 ties the 250 EFI for top end speed ?

You won't get 78 with a Verado motor probably 74-75 tops.

Same boat & motor combo here. Running a 25p fury that could stand being replaced. When I first bought the boat I took it out to learn to drive it (came from a skeeter with 200). By myself, no tackle, empty livewells, 15 gal gas it ran 81 on the GPS. Tournament load it now runs 71-74 depending on the conditions.

I've hit 78 with empty fuel and a 25 Trophy. I don't think a Verado will get you over 80. Currently running a 26 Tempest and easily hit 72 but that's about it. Also keep in mind you are at higher altitude and hotter temps right now. Than where that boat was originally running. I'd love to drive yours. Mine used to walk like crazy, since I've learned to control it, I don't really "know" what I'm doing and I can't get it to walk anymore. Would like to drive another boat to make sure I'm really controlling mine or it stopped walking!

Higher altitude doesn't effect a Verado like a regular engine since it has a supercharger on it.

A guy in my club has this boat with a Mercury 250 Opti and his boat won’t go over 65 and barely gets to redline. He does keep a lot in his boat and has dual poles but I thought it would’ve been closer to 70.

Maybe this fall take a drive up to the smallie spot and drive it like you stole it lol.
I'm running a 22p bravo1 right now. Because of the altitude. I know people say the SC will make up for the altitude but when I'm at sea level I run the fury 25p with no issues.
I love the bravo as the lift it gives is awesome. I might buy a 24p and see what happens.
