No hands at 70 is pretty easy if its calm or slight chop. Don't get into the trim to quickly and just find the sweet spot.

Hey guys got my Phoenix figured out, ended
up being steering related bled the system and
that tightened up the steering the bit it needed to be
able to make the small steering adjustments. drove the
boat to 75mph with limited gear and empty wells. 10 minute fix
to a problem that stumped me for while.

my 721 will "porpoise" in dead clam water over 70. Not all the time but it gets a slow bob to it. It has never tried to Chime.

I think anyone that learned how to drive a Triton (especially the older model ones) probably thinks Phoenix boats don't walk period. I'm with you. My 721 might have a little Chine, but it's easily controlled...nothing like my old Tr-20 or the chine walking beast 1999 TR-18.

This may be true. My TR196 was two hands and driving after 55. The first time I test drove my 721 I did 76 out the gate and he said he was impressed and I may have been the best customer he had ever ridden with. He said most are scared to get to 70 the ones who arent call it quits after the slightest movement.

My 721 drives like a dream compared to my 1998 TR19. The 19X2 was a totally different boat to drive. The 721 has that "sports car" feel that the 1998 TR 19 had

this is a little faster than 70 on a 919, but at 70 you can leave your hands off the wheel, this is after some fine tuning on the setup

I can run 75-80 and have zero issues. When I first got the boat, yes it walked but that my fault! I had my trim too far up and the JP too far down. I can now go from sitting dead in the water to 80 and never miss a beat, and I dont worry about it trying to walk on me.

What is your motor height? How much trim? What prop? What boat? What motor?

I just gradually roll into it once I get over 70 or so...I know where the trim likes to be, JP height etc...If I hammer it at 70 I just make very small corrections on the wheel..Im used to knowing whats it going to do, before it does it...thats the key to overcoming walk imo...knowing when/what its going to do before it does it...and correcting it before it happens....that just me though.
