    Mr. Weed ( oil seal recall)

    My fishing buddy has new Merc. 200 HP 4 stroke SN 2B691270. He got it about 6 weeks ago. Not sure how long boat and motor were on yard before selling. He does not seem worried but I am.
    Would you please look his SN up and see if it is in the oil seal recall? Thank you!

    No, SB 2019-010 is not applicable to this engine serial number.

    As a matter of note: Selling dealer is responsible to verify that any applicable Service Bulletins have been performed before delivering the engine to the consumer.

    Mercury also sends a letter to the registered owner advising them of this type of Campaign (and what steps to take to have it addressed).
