ci4+ 2500 spinning reel

Bought a new spinning reel and drag has suddenly quit working. Am I missing something?

Did you fill it with braided line and forgot to put some tape or mono backing at the bottom of the spool ?

Nearly impossible for drag to just quit.. .line is not anchored correctly 9.999% of time. Dan

Yeah, it's more likely that line is not set up with mono backing. I had the same issue until I put about 30 yards of 8 lbs mono.

I bought a shimano ci4+ 3000 for $100 a while back because the seller thought the reel was not working, turns out he tied the braided line directly to the spool.
