    spun 2 prop hubs

    Last two trips out I melted two prop hubs on my 2013 Etec 225 what is causing this?

    Dfi motors burn hotter and cleaner. Higher exhaust temps melt rubber pressed in hubs. Consider a different hub/prop.

    Might want to talk to Mark Croxton - I had a Mariner that would melt the hubs - he drilled some holes in my prop and alleviated the melting...

    My cousin just went through this on his 2011 225 etec. It ended up being the cooling line that goes the hub was plugged with debris. Took it to 4 different shops and no one could figure it out. I posted here and got some tips for him and now he is fixed.
