They will be available, like the Kage rods, at select brick and mortar retailers only, but $339 to $369 depending on model. TT will have them in store as soon as they ship.

That is a SOLID feeling reel. I'm sure it will be popular with a lot of inshore guys and those who prefer that feel over the composite bodied reels.

Cheaper how, just curious what you mean specifically? This CT has Magforce Z braking.

I just started using my old CT Type R again and forgot how much I liked that. Is this similar to that? Aluminum frame, same spool size? Speaking of spools is this similar to the original Tatula CT or more similar to the type r?

Just saw Daiwa changed the specs to include MagZ. All the promotional stuff said magforce.

Is this just a graphics change to the old CT or are there other differences?

Yes, it has an aluminum frame and the same spool as CT. A lot of folks like the size and feel of that frame over the smaller, more compact 100 frame.

Understood. I'm glad they changed that...

Ultimately, the differences are cosmetic. The new version has slimmer knobs but is essentially the same reel as the old CT.

Glad they kept it around with the magforce z , it's a solid reel.
