    Here is a good source for 12awg true shielded milspec tinned copper twisted pair. You dont have to ground the shielding but it is there if you want to. Also below is another good source to get high quality wiring and connectors. Yes it is probably over kill but its something I dont have to worry about after its installed

    My 12 shows a .1 drop with backlight on 5 and goes to .2 at 9 and 10. My 10 shows no drop until level 7 thru 10. a .1 drop

    Only mentioned because it is a great way to check all the connections involved. Not all know the circuit needs to be loaded to check. I have not checked on different brightness levels. With marginal battery power, that and units in standby are a reality for many. Bob

    I ran the 2 gauge duplex wire for my depth finders (3) Helix units. My batteries 2- 6 volt AGMs series, are in the back of the boat and I put the fuse panel where all 3 units can use the factory length power wire. I also put a cut off switch at the battery’s so when putting the covers on the units they wouldn’t turn on. I know it’s overkill but I have no power or interference issues at all.
