    Ultrex question

So had new ultrex on two days. And I must have gotten too much slack somehow on the transducer wire and it got smashed in two. Any suggestions on how to fix it or replace it?

I spliced my Gen 1 HDSI 180 transducer cable using this guy's methods.

Make sure to wrap foil shielding around the pairs of wires (that are wrapped with foil, you'll see it when you dismantle wiring) when you're done and, of course, use good heat shrink tubing (and maybe liquid electrical tape)

Transducer wire is replaceable. It is an extension that plugs in, inside the head. there are three different cable depending on what transducer you have. I put the link for you to look at. it also has parts numbers.

Brad, that is assuming that he is talking about the US2 ducer. He may have been using one externally mounted like most of us, but he did not say.

I’ve got the universal transducer. I will be running lowrance on it.
