Higgins Lake Advice

Heading to Higgins in the morning. Any advice on catching anything in this lake?

Always struggled at Higgins after the spring. Some monster rock bass in there. I would look for the deepest grass you can find and fish it slow. If I was traveling I would fish Houghton instead. Let us know how you do.

I've been going to Higgins for 30+ years. I had one epic day about 10 years ago. With all the boat traffic that is going to be on the lake this weekend, I wouldn't even think about fishing it. As Angler103 said, head to Houghton Lake and catch a mixed bag of LM & SM.

If you must fish Higgins, find the rocks. Mainly on the south shore of the big side and around Treasure Island.
