Te 257 Robert is the finest hunting cartridge imo. Hard to put a value on a custom rifle especially without inspecting it in person. Most are not worth close to what they cost to build.
Value will depend on a lot of different things, Who made the action, is it an older pre 64 winchester, a remington 700 or a 721 or is it a 1904 Springfield, Mauser 98, who made the barrel what grade of wood and what type of wood, who made the gun,age and so on. Custom rifles can be very hard to value correctly without knowing the details,
