    I have a 25.5 pitch Promax and i can run the plate all the way down or up and no blow out, all the plugs are removed.

    I may be wrong, but it looks like my 250R came with a blow out ring, but maybe that's not what I'm seeing?? Its a black plastic ring around the outer exhaust housing on the lower unit, and it closes the gap and makes the prop fit tight to the housing, very little gap (less than 1/8" between the prop and the exhaust housing).

    The plastic cav ring melts with the temps of the new motors. Mark Makes/sells an aluminum model.
