    Mercury Rev 4

Anyone running one of these props or ever try one? Couldn’t really find anything on here using the search tool. I’m thinking maybe not the best prop for bass boats?

    I have a 25p bent to 26p. I wish it had a flared barrel.

How would you compare it to a bravo 1?

I run one on a Triton TR 196. On my rig, the 23 Rev 4 will run slightly more RPMs than a 25 Tempest. Except for top end, the Rev 4 is superior in all categories. in my opinion. I am too old to be a top end guy but tried it a couple of times. I have also run a modified Bravo 1. The hole shot on the Bravo is a little better and the flare holds the stern up a little better at lower speeds but not much. The Rev 4 carries my boat better and I run it most of the time. I like it a lot as a bass boat prop.

I had a rev 4 on my old tuffy 176 deep v. 150 opti. Hole shot was unbelievable!! Literally threw the boat out of the water!! Could have pulled 4 skiers. Top speed was not great. Went to a 3 blade. Gained a little top speed. Probably some gas savings. Should have stuck with rev 4 and saved the money.
