    Braidwood Gar?

Anyone ever catch one? Saw plenty the other day surfacing right next to the boat. Was tempted to just grab my net and scoop me up for a picture.

Apparently the trick is to use some freyed nylon rope. Their teeth will get stuck and you'll able able to boat them. No way in hell I'd ever try this with those things.

I wouldn’t be surprised but I have not seen them. As you stated though you usually can easily spot them cause they surface/roll at the surface.

I am not saying they are in there because you never know. I have been fishing braidwood weekly and never seen one. Most of the rolling fishing are Cats and Carp. Often times people will see a blue and realize it's a cat but very large channel cats are often not recognized as Cats.
