    Hit a snap bar

92...175 cross flow....Came into a sand bar the other day....came home and the pisser was plugged....got all the sand out and its flowing good now. My question is would there be more sand in the pump to be cleaned out or does it flushed out by running it?

Most is flushed from running but if you remove the pump you would find some sand there, most likely not enough to worry about.

Tav, unless you changed motors you've got a 60* V-6. Remove the tell tale and hook up a garden hose to the port turn on the water and back flush it that way. Last year for a 175 HP cross flow was 1991.
