It was kind of expected on a new unit, and I read a lot of issues on the GARMIN FB page. I don’t seem to see as many troubles if any with the Lowrance GHOST TM. I have a MinnKota Ultrex and no issues so far the first year.

No problems with my Ghost. I have had all of them, Ghost is the champ, by miles. I have 2 HDS Live and the complete system is awesome. I have no transducer
cables or any "other" crap zip tied to the TM cable, and or around motor or shaft. Super clean, with no clutter.
That was back in June! Water under the bridge..
Do A quick search for Lowrance Ghost problems or Ultrex Problems.
It’s all how the manufacturer handles the issue.
