    Gaston conditions

Been couple weeks since I fished. 2 weeks ago caught a fish that looked as if it had not spawned yet (just outside of Poplar Creek). Seems late for that. Could it be due to water temps/clarity? Or is that normal for Gaston up lake?

Also have water temps come up any and has it cleared up any?

    Thanks

We had a tournament out of Holly Grove on Saturday and I caught a few spots that seemed like they just finished spawning since their tails were all beat up. Plus they were up shallow feeding up on the bluegill as well since we caught them in the shadows along bulk heads. The water temps on Saturday were anywhere from 78 to 82 degrees. Regarding water conditions, the water was stained and muddier further up river you went and supposedly clearer down by the dam. Good luck in avoiding the wake boats and jet skis.

That's pretty impressive. It took around 14lbs to win the TBF regional.
