Air Handler Grommet? 02 Merc EFI 200hp

Hi all,

So I noticed that on my 2002 Merc EFI 200hp (SN0T443994) one of the grommet located on the air handler says " For use with 150 only"? I bought the motor used complete a few years back.

I am further confused when I look at a break down diagram becasue when I search the referenced SN#, 2 grommets come up 855613 (175/200) & 882840 (150). Why would 882840 (150) show up?

Which grommet should I be using or do I need both, pretty confused at this point and just dropped i a new power head so want to get it right prior to break in.

Your 200 does not use the 150hp grommet, which doubles as a RESTRICTOR.

Don't over think this: Your serial number shows a 200, your PCM shows a 200, you said you installed a 200 powerhead, so what you have would be a 200 (I'd be really worried if it suddenly decided it was a 150).
