Need help with selecting new prop

I have a 1990 Stratos 201 pro duel console with a 1990 Johnson 200GT ....prop is a 4 blade renegade 21 pitch and is set at 3 3/4 " off pad with no jack plate.... it's running 50mph at 3/4 throttle and my rpms are 6200 ....so I picked up a 27 pitch Renegade 4 blade and now I'm running 45pmh wot at 4800 rpms.... what should I do for a prop as I've went from one extreme to the other

If motor is in good heath . You need a 6inch plate and a 25 pitch Tempest plus boat all day and you will have a 65 gps boat.
You will have play around with the set-up . The OMC lower unit's like to run deeper than the Yam and Merc motor 's. I would so around 4 inch below pad tp get started.

Also the old school Bravo 1 are good . Need to have a prop shop to drill vent holes in it . Minds is a 24p and a tad slower than the Tempest Plus and this prop picks the stearn or the hold boat up... up more than the Tempest i like over the Tempest for rough water and it still has the barrel on the prop. I have not, had time time to run the newer bravo l XS over the older pro.
All on a 1988 201 Pro Merc 2.5 200 hp motor on a 6 inch plate @ 3.25 below pad . One tank gas 24 gal and no water and box for of some thing to fish with . This was in the cooler months ...my motor usually lose 200 rpm in the heat .
Hope this help you out .
