Yep, Really really poor management. Their product quality sucks and they cannot make money even when the gun grabbers are in office. I hope someone buys them and gets them and Marlin turned around.

I sure hope someone that cares will buy Marlin division and separate totally from Remington. Really sad what's happened to a once fine gun company. No way I would buy any Remington nowadays. So glad I bought my Marlin XLR 45-70 before Remington bought and almost destroyed them.

Plan on keeping my older Remingtons (870 and 1100) that I got in the early 90's, might even become collectors items in 20 or 30 years.

Great guns. Made back when Remington was a REAL gun company.

Doubt I’ll ever purchase anymore Remington firearms, they just don’t have anything I want to spend my $ on.

Cuomo pretty much shut their plant down and prevented them from making product. They offered to make PPE and medical supplies but he decided to buy from China instead. The writing was on the wall before that but it certainly did not help.

The tipping point for me was the deadly triggers on the Model 700 and Remington's response or rather lack of timely response. I have no sympathy for the executives and owners. Some should have gone to jail. I hate that over decades, Remington's working men and women have suffered for the decisions of the various corporate owners. A once fine company destroyed due to corporate greed and dishonesty.

I can imagine how the trade/resale is on a 700. It couldn’t be much if anything on those rifles, especially used.

I finally got my trigger replacement last month. Only took a year and a half for me on the waiting list. I drove 2 hours to meet with the gunsmith that changed it just so I wouldn't have to put my rifle in the mail and take a chance on losing it.

Huntsville Alabama gave them all kind of incentives ,tax breaks and a reasonable labor pool to escape from New York. They disappointed. Huntsville has an aggressive pro business mayor and will find a firearms manufacturer to replace them.

Heard Remington is selling off their ammunition division, supposedly reached an agreement with a buyer in South Carolina.
