Anyone on her pulling with the Ecotec3 motor in the new Chevy/GMC ?
Do these motors shut off at stop lights ? How are they on pulling a bass boat like a Phoenix 819, 1800 Hull weight?
Just needing educated on the pros and cons on this motor.

I have a 2018 GMC with the 5.3L Ecotec. It does not shut off but they gave my a 2020 loaner once that did. It could be disabled. Mine pulls my 20TRX with ease. And its not just the power but the suspension carries the load very well. Much better than the 2008 I came out of. I do not, however, like the 8 speed. Surges and jerks when cold. Bad enough I’ve almost hit the trailer trying to get close to hook it up. I have heard the newer models are better.
