    Bravo 1 solid plugs

In a Bravo 1 XS/FS ( 8 holes) do the solid plugs go to the rear of the prop or the font holes?

Did you try it with all 8 open yet? If not, You should. What motor and boat? What pitch prop?

250 SHO, 27p Bravo 1 XS/FS. This was originally a XS, Mark drilled the extra 4 holes & reworked it ( cupped) * balance. Right now I have the rear holes (toward the exhaust ) solid plugged. Just wondered if someone had tried the solid plugs in the front hole. No 21XDC haven't tried it with all unplugged, actually never thought about that. Prop is on a 21X-HP with a 10" atlas & dual power poles. I do run with my jack plate pretty close to full height. Comes out of the hole faster than you can say "comes out of the hole", 18-22 lbs of WP & will hit the 70s with no problem. Just curious about the plugs & if there was a difference with different holes plugged. Always appreciate your input.
    Thanks

How many rpms are you turning on breakover? I run all 8 plugged on my Phoenix. It breaks over a touch over 4k. I tried all open before I got plugs and it broke loose out of the hole

Do you even need to vent that 4stroke?

Wackylig.........Normally it around 3200-3400 rpm. This is with my jackplate up. If I drop it down some & tuck it under it 's a lot slower. In fact, where I run my jackplate I don't do anything. Occasionally I may trim it up some but not very much.

ClarkBird.......That's what I was trying to find.

Fwiw - I plug all 8 on mine. No need to zing the SHO up, it has the torque.

You use solid plugs on all 8 holes? What is the purpose of the holes at all then? Just asking.

Mostly needed for 2 stroke. 4 stokes sometimes benefit from some venting, But they don't usually need as much.

Thanks guys. So what would be the best. Back holes plugged, Pvs on front ( toward boat ) open? That's the way I have it or should I just plug all the holes or leave them open?

If you need to plug any holes on these dual PVS props, The rear holes should get plugged first. Rear holes are the holes farthest from the bow. Since every rig is different, Trial and error will maximize your set up best.
