    Best oil for 2001 150 VMax ?

I am assuming that any quality oil (OMC or QuickSilver) would be acceptable for a 2001 150 VMax?

Never owned a Yamaha and don't want to make a mistake.

    Anything else I should know?

I have a 2002 and I have run Penzoil semi synthetic , cabelas Semi synthetic and recently bought a case from bass pro Semi synthetic as they had a great sale. It has been a great motor
assuming yours is a carb they start better when trimmed level.
