Single Talon, which side to mount?

Just ordered an 8' Talon. I've had dual PP before on my last boat and most likely would have gotten one of those but I just don't have room for a pump in this boat. Should I mount it on the port or starboard? I've seen it both ways with a single. Right now I'm leaning towards the starboard side. Will be mounted with the jackplate bracket on a 6" Bobs (ordered the spacer too). I'll use it mostly for docking and anchoring when taking a break/swimming with the kids etc.

Whatever side the ladder isn't on

One could argue putting it on the port side to help offset driver weight if you boat alone often, but if the ladder is on the port side I'd keep that easily accessible and just rearrange the storage to compensate for the extra weight on the starboard side with you.

Makes sense, I'll just have to relocate a temp sensor on my JP.
