    Recommend me a prop please

Just want to get it right the first time. Running a heavy 206, 300hpdi, 675lbs of anglers, livewell, PP, 3 27s, and 1 31 AGM. Tough getting out of the hole with a T1 25p. Manual JP set to 3.5. Ordered CB Hydrofoil, hope to get it soon.

Props I'm thinking are below. Anyone has suggestions on other props?

    Fury 4 24p
    Bravo 1 24p
    Powertech RKR4 24p
    Powertech BRV4 24p

Please don't stick that thing on your motor.
25 Tempest is the right wheel for that WalMart you're carrying around.

Lay off the fried chicken for a little while, and take everything out of the front deck...haha. Seriously the 206 is real weight sensitive. That whale tail isn't going to help.

Agree hydrofoil is a bandaid for a bad setup do what Pat tells you too and he will get as close as your going to get.

I thought the tempest 25 had to be worked to get a good hole shots since it's a nice prop for top end? Always heard a 4 blade is needed for these 206? As for not adding so much weight up front, I thought that is more for losing top end due it reducing lift? I'm trying to improve my hole shot. As mentioned above with what I carry it takes me 8 seconds to plane. Just too long and dangerous in crowded lakes. I'm not really worry about top end as the lakes I fish rarely will allow you to hit top speed.

bravo xs has 8 plug holes, they run real well for all around performance on a 206, i have had one on mine for the last several years

Ok, when you give better details you get better answers. If speed is nothing, and hauling a big load is everything, slap a 23 small hub trophy on it and holeshot issues will vanish. Keep your big prop for big water and lighter loads.

John have you had 3 anglers and full livewell before? How was hole shot on your 206? I'm not looking for a killer hole shot but 5 seconds is good enough with what I'm packing. 8-10 is far too long. I'm not understanding how a stock tempest 25p, adjusting JP a few quarter inch, can cut that hole shot down by half. Hydraulic JP won't happen until next year.

Pat yes top end isn't as important but I'd still like to get to 60mph on this load. Wouldn't a 23p push my rpms too high? Currently on the T1 25p I reach 6k rpm. When going to a 4 blade drop a pitch correct? Dropping two pitch, I was told not to do.

When you've got three bodies, full livewell and all your gear you hit six grand?? If so what's your rpms with a regular load?
You prop for your current needs, sometimes you need more than one prop. What carries 400 lbs is different than what carries 1,200.

Prop takes a minute to swap out, which is far easier than suffering all day when it's wrong.

Good point Pat. I don't recall my rpms loaded. Will get numbers next time I'm out on team trails. Running 2 props has always been on the radar. Thanks.

I usually kept three props on hand, with the 202/203's, had a worked 26 boger tempest for normal tournament days, 27 tempest for cold and light hot dogging and a 25 trophy when the lake was going to be really nasty and top speed was not a factor.
