What parts are they filming in Utah? I thought the actual ranch they're on, is located in Montana?
I just started watching a couple weeks ago and now have caught up to season 3 episode 7 (current) pretty good show, no commercials on the fire stick!

Yes, you are right! The ranch is in Montana, but it sounds like they are filming on sets in Utah? I'm not 100% sure.

I just started watching too...almost done with Season 1 now. I'm completely hooked! I read today where starting with Season 4, all the filming will be done at the ranch in Montana...

They were deeds. I am sure after the mention of the sale, he was trying to see exactly how the land is titled. Kind of fake though, as he could find that information out without having to take the originals.

Make the originals disappear and have a new copy with a different owner show up???

There's extremely too much going on at once right now. It's like they couldn't figure out an action packed plot for this season, so they just threw a bunch of random stuff together. It's getting somewhat boring, and slightly confusing.

Would not work, unless they would record (with the Register of Deeds or equivalent) the one showing a different owner. Then they would have to be a chain of title linking them together.

If we're talking realistic, I doubt the deed for a $500 Million ranch would just be in a file in the bedside nightstand... But with some of the complaints I have on this show that's definitely not one of them.

Agreed. It almost seems like the show has different writers this season, or they have gotten content with the success. To try to wrap up all the story lines they have going in 2 episodes is probably going to feel rushed and not well developed. Very similar to terrible final season of Game of Thrones.

we are loving it so far.

you can also stay on the ranch.

While you can’t stay in the Dutton home itself, the Chief Joseph Ranch does rent out two cabins on the property: the Ben Cook Cabin (which is Rip’s cabin in Season 1 and Casey’s cabin in Season 2) and the Fisherman’s Cabin (which is Lee’s cabin in Season 1 and Season 2). Each cabin sleeps 8 guests and has a full kitchen and a grill. You can contact them on their website to find the availability, but right now, you’re going to have to book them well in advance.

He asked his secretary something about how, or where power of attorney for the ranch was filed.
